2009 Winter Classic NHL Hockey Game

Last year's successful NHL outdoor hockey game was so popular that of course Gary Bettman announced one for this year. The 2009 Winter Classic will be played at Wrigley Field, pitting the Chicago Blackhawks against the Detroit Red Wings in the home park of the Chicago Cubs.

It will be the NHL's second Winter Classic. Last January the 1st to be exact saw the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 before a crowd of 71,217. Snow fell during the game and there seemed to be alot of buzz. I recorded the game and posted the videos on YouTube they've gotten lots of hits and lots of comments from hockey fans from all over the world. The game this year will be at 1:00 PM EST and will be televised in the States on NBC and CBC here in Canada.

Sidney Crosby Penalty Shot Against Roberto Luongo

The hockey video that received the most hits last year on YouTube that I recorded was from December 2007:

Sidney Crosby was awarded a penalty shot in overtime after being hauled down by Vancouver's Aaron Miller on a breakaway. With the crowd roaring, Crosby had Luongo down but couldn't lift the puck and the Canuck goaltender stopped it with his glove. Well over 20,000 hits not to bad.
